Did you know?

EVSE stands for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment. EVSE is the proper term for what many call “EV chargers” or “EV charging stations.” The reason “charging station” is not the appropriate term is because the actual charging
equipment is built into the car, and the EVSE provides a safe supply of electricity to the vehicle.

There are three levels of EV charging: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. The higher the charging level, the faster the charging process, as more power is delivered to the vehicle.

Level 1

  • Usually comes with your vehicle.
  • Uses a common 120-volt household outlet.
  • Is the slowest way to charge an EV.
  • Delivers between 3 and 5 miles of range per hour to a typical electric vehicle.
